Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 3, 2026. This policy covers the website ufodata.org.
UFOData.org is an informational website. You don't create an account here, and we collect as little as possible.
What we collect
- Server logs. Like nearly every website, our web server records standard access logs: IP address, requested page, browser user-agent, and timestamp. We use these only to keep the site running, diagnose problems, and detect abuse. Logs are rotated and deleted in the ordinary course of server administration.
- Email you send us. If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply.
What we don't do
- No user accounts, no sign-ups, no passwords.
- No advertising trackers and no sale of personal information.
- No first-party analytics cookies. The site works without cookies.
Embedded and linked content
Our pages may link to, or in the future embed, content hosted by third parties — for example YouTube videos or official government archives such as the National Archives and AARO. When you follow a link or play an embedded video, that third party may collect data under its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing the policies of any site you visit, including Google's Privacy Policy for YouTube content.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Given how little we collect, that's usually just correspondence. Email us and we'll take care of it.
Children
The site is general-audience informational content and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
