The U.S. government is unsealing its UAP records in batches under PURSUE — the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters. We track every tranche here: the date it dropped, how many files it held, and what was inside — updated the day each release goes live.
Source of record: the official war.gov/ufo portal.
The sixth tranche is the largest document drop since the portal launched: 72 records, 2.23 GB of paper. Its core is the AAWSAP contract file — the statement of objectives, the original 2008 solicitation, five contract modifications and 37 Defense Intelligence Reference Documents on everything from warp drive and traversable wormholes to metamaterials and invisibility cloaking. Alongside it sits the Project Blue Book file on the 1952 Tremonton film, the film itself, and the Navy personnel record of the warrant officer who shot it. The tranche also carries a transcript and an audio recording of Project Blue Book chief Captain Edward J. Ruppelt speaking in 1952, and the program's first records from a non-federal source — local law enforcement in Colorado.
The fifth batch of 41 files surfaced large triangular craft and multi-orb encounters — including an AC-130 gunship crew over the Gulf of Oman that logged roughly two dozen unidentified orbs.
The smallest tranche to date — 40 files — but a heavy one: a 2015 Department of Energy report of an object near the Pantex nuclear-weapons facility, and Indo-Pacific Command footage of a star-shaped object.
The third release of 72 files centered on a wave of glowing-orb sightings across the northeastern United States, plus additional historical material stretching back decades.
The second batch added 64 files — 51 of them video — and the first-ever audio recordings in the PURSUE archive, including intelligence-officer accounts describing orbs.
The first PURSUE tranche launched the public war.gov/ufo portal with 162 declassified records spanning more than 400 logged incidents — the largest single dump of U.S. military UAP material ever put online.
